Driver killed, another seriously hurt in fiery 3-vehicle Garden State Parkway crash

One driver was killed and another seriously injured early Saturday in a three-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls, authorities said.
Three cars were traveling southbound side of the highway at 4:20 a.m. near milepost 102.8 when two collided head-on, State Police said.
The third vehicle then rear-ended the two vehicles involved in the initial crash.
The driver of a vehicle that became engulfed in flames died at the scene.
A 23-year-old Brick man driving another car was hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the third vehicles suffered minor injuries.
State Police didn’t identify the driver killed, saying Tuesday morning that family notifications are not complete.
A spokesman also said Tuesday he had no information about how the head-on crash took place, citing the ongoing investigation.
